Homeless Ministry

Scripture:
Matthew 25:35-36
“For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.”

Vision:
In keeping with Black Churches’ heritage of ministries and outreaches, the AWBC Homeless Ministry was established to lend a helping hand to the homeless and impoverished in and around our community. We are committed to providing basic necessities, sustenance, clothing, and any other means of support required to improve their living conditions, while helping them find a closer relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Mission:
Our mission is to play an active role in providing assistance to those in temporary and continual circumstances that render them unable to provide for themselves and/or their immediate family members. We want every person we serve to become who God intends them to be, regardless of their current station in life and how they got there. We will be patient and kind, and treat those we serve with dignity and respect. We will undertake this charitable cause while helping to build up faith, hope and love in others, and remembering the greatest of these is why we do it in Love.
